About Me

Hello! I’m Alisha

Illustrator | Graphic Designer

Artist Statement

I’m a United States-based artist best known for imaginary landscape paintings in a contemporary impressionistic style.

My paintings depict landscapes and its surroundings as in between dimensions, feelings or emotions. The landscapes exist in rendered or expressive brush strokes of bright colors, textures and patterns that come from nature and my own emotions.

When I was young, I wanted to become an astronaut. I really love to go on adventures. So I enjoy science-fiction, adventure, fantasy films and books and especially tales that have portals in them. I like to travel and to see unusual places that spark my heart.

In my paintings, I hope to show you what I see in my imagination. The paintings are like dreams inside of dreams. I want them to inspire you and invite you to other worlds and that we can visit them in our imaginations, just like in stories.

When you experience paintings, I want you to feel excited, comforted, peaceful, and adventurous. Through my paintings, you will enjoy a strong sense of wellbeing where you can feel free to be yourself. I want my paintings to be a vehicle for you to find who you truly are, your dreams and destinies. You will sense a powerful transformation and healing in your hearts when you go into the worlds of my paintings.

Artist Bio

As a child, Alisha watched science fiction and animated films and fell in love with their worlds. When she was a student at the University of South Korea, she realized she could have a career in the film industry. Her vision was to create commercials. She came to the United States, and In 2003, she started her schooling at ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, CA majoring in Illustration. Here, landscape paintings inspired her to become a background artist in animation.

After graduating college, she worked as a background artist in Hollywood and later she created graphic designs until now. However, in 2021, her dream came back to her, and she desired to pursue art again. Since then, she has been painting and received the award for First Place in Amateur Acrylic and Oil in 2022 from the Cody Country Art League.
